taskbar problem (hover)

Hi. There's a problem with my taskbar . Everytime I hover over the start it does not highlight or work. I have to use my keyboard. The charms bar also dissapear until I restart explorer.exe. Any permanent solutions ?
Or any update that I need to uninstall ?

Do you have something like classic shell installed? I've seen these shell extensions break aspects of Windows 8 UI.

Nope. Nothing installed ! Should I uninstall the automatic updates ?
