Taskbar will not unlock

New Windows 7 build on Z170 system:
Everything else is working fine, but the taskbar refuses to disappear.

I have checked and unchecked "lock the taskbar" which appears by right clicking on the taskbar.
I have rebooted and tried again. No luck.

I have right clicked the task bar and looked at Properties. "Lock the taskbar" is unchecked.

Advice welcomed!

Did you check the auto-hide box?

Duh ---

I did this correctly in the past. I used to build 2 or 3 systems per year,
but my Z170 is the first system I have built in over two years.

Problem solved. Thanks
