Taskhostw.exe removal help

So I ran a system performance check and it red flagged a 98% cpu usage on s file called taskhostw.exe. I have read about it and it sounds as if it is a scam that makes your computer run slower which is actually happening now and my pc freezing. However I have no idea how to uninstall and remove this virus if anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated !

try installing/running a Malwarebytes Antimalware scan, pretty much one of *THE* 'go to' products these days...

I have ran malwarebytes but it hasn’t picked up the virus. Apparently it names itself after original windows files which makes it hard to spot. The performance check i used is windows app that is embedded into windows I didn’t install any performance checker.
