a bsod can also occur when even if your processor is cool it is not getting enough voltage...at higher frequencies a higher voltage is needed to increase signal strength...

If i put my k6 in a Ferrari it would be faster than your your pentium 4 or Athlon XP :tongue:
 
if u put in what ur system config is and what prob u have, may be it wud be easier to understand and solve the problem.
