I got a tdk 24-10-40 burner, i have amd900mhz, running windows 98. The burner worked fine when i used it last a couple of times last week. Last nite i tried burning. Everything looked fine, and eventually Nero burner software showed that the burning was 100%, and it just stops there. It didnt specifically give me a "burning complete" message. The only option i had was to click on the "Cancel" button. When i do, it tells me that this will abort the burning process, but it's not burning anymore, and the greenlight on the burner itself is blinking. I can't take out the cd, the only option i had was to restart the computer to get the CD out. I've wasted about 3 CDs now. I have no idea if this is a software issue or hardware. I hope it's just software. Like i said b4 i'm using NERO burner software that came with it. CAn anyone help??

How's your IDE configuration? Are you burning HDD to CD or CD to CD?

Thanks all for tips, apparently all i had to do was download an upgrade for Nero on TDK's site. It works fine now.

Have you Always used Nero... because when i burn with nero...it says 100% but it's still doing stuff... it takes a min and then it comes up with the Burned Successfully message
