TDK cd-rw drive

Hello,I tried to load an older TDK cd-rw drive. Micro soft said it is non compatible for their system. So I wont use it. However every time I turn on my computer it comes up with new found hardware which is the old TDKrw-drive. I can not get rid of it. What do I do

Take it out then. And buy another one that will work.
