We have TEAC CDRWDVD model DW224EV in a dell inspiron 1501 lap top .. We are trying to burn a DVD on it and it does not start the program the way it is shown in help .. Will this device burn DVD's or just CD's

It only burns CDs and not DVDs.

By the way - all you have to do is google the brand and model to answer simple questions like that. This was the first google entry:
