Hi. I want to know if anyone has ideas as to which of these brands are better, given they all are 12x10x32x. I was considering a plextor but I'm not sure I can manage to get one so, amongst these, which do you think is better?
Thank you for replying. Please tell me if this question has been covered in a previous thread.

Get the AOpen; read my review on the AOpen CRW1232A with JustLink technology. I'd say stay away from the Acer unit. I've read some OK reviews on it, but it's definitely not up to the level of the AOpen, considering that Acer is a 'sister' company to AOpen (I think, but not sure).
The TEAC unit is likely also very good, don't know much about it, but I've read some good things about it. Probably can't be bought quite as cheaply as the AOpen though. Check out newegg.com to get the AOpen CRW1232A 'burner'...about $115 now (June 1, 2001).

Thanks.
I think after what I heard, the plextor is worth paying the extra. I'm saving for my big upgrade so the plextor won't be far out of reach.
