Are Bongo-Wolf and the Spooky Ice Sorc ready for NM Diablo tonite?

At level 63 my life is 1047 before the Oak Sage and BO. I'm sure I can
survive especially since I am not one of the tankers - unless I lag
during a double dose of the hose. I'll try to stay on the Big Dog's
backside along with the sorcy. Lightning works better when you are
shooting it up his ass.

If memory serves correctly Bongo gets on somewhere 'tween 8 and 8:30. I
can kill time before then. Hoping I can hook up with Misfit for some
Baal minion runs before that. Maybe even after as all I am really
concerned with is getting by the Big Dog. But if we continue a little
ways into act 5, I might be talked into sticking around a little but
longer.

If not tonite, just let me know. My vote is for tonite (Thurs) over Fri
due to expected ease on BNET traffic = less probability of losing the
game. If not tonite or Fri let's off him this weekend.

I got dibs on Titan's if D drops them. You two should name your dibs up
front, although me naming mine was prolly redundant - kinda like Hugh
Hefner calling Dibs on Pamel Anderson if she dropped.

I don't know about Bongo Wolf, but Spook's Ice sorc still needs to work
her way through act three. That shouldn't take long if she get
motivated. I didn't try it last night, as I had a really bad
connection all evening, running 450-2,500, so I stayed in normal. I
should be on this evening 🙂

After I spoke to you and misfit, I spanked mr d. I finally figured out
the trick that saves me from having to re-minion several times during
the battle. I have always had trouble with D in normal.

I gave the boys a dose of summon resist, which was at lvl 4 w the extra
skills, then raised three cold mages, and threw in a clay golem. I
kept hitting him with the decrep, and he was so slow from the cold and
the golem, he never even fired up his hose. His droppings were less
than desirable tho.

Hey Rube

Hope you had fun farming mepf last night etc. If you are ready for big
D tonite just give me a holler. I'll probbly be farting around
somewhere, maybe with Mizfit again and naybe tonite Kasmir will join
us.

Kasmir told me he ended up in NM game last night. He said his Pally
almost died. I don't think it hit home that he was in a game with
multiplayer level making it truly difficult for that pally as well as
possibly an inadequate level. I asked if you guys had the chanter in
the game. He said he did not know. I asked if he saw a message for
enchant or cheese and he said no. Sometimes these things slip by him
when you message during the game so you have to keep at it. This all
despite the fact that I told him earlier in the day that misfit and I
would likely be minion running and he said he would bring his pally
along.

If not tonite for big D I'll be on in the early AM Sat if you and the
Bongo-Wolf are on. So whatever you guys want to do.

Great. By all means do Izzy first and maybe even the Forge.

I can come when you hit the Chaos. You or Bongo can whisper me.

Just a note, if you don't see me on my HC account try the

Yup, Diablo, especially in normal difficulity, is one of the nastiest
monsters in the game to solo. Congradulations on the kill 🙂

We pretty much are now. Bongo-Wolf was kind enough to escort my frigid
Spook-IceWitch through all of act three NM, so we are into act four now. It
was a riot! I'd see the wolf come streaking by me into a pack of monsters,
and in nothing flat there'd be nothing but squashed monster goo on the
ground. That wolf, along with his merc and grizzly, packs a mean punch!
Mighty quick too 🙂

Personally, I'd like to kill Izzy before we kill Diablo, just for the extra
skill points (still trying to buff up my second attack skill, meteor), and
maybe another level or two, but that shouldn't take long.

Strange, my DSL was behaving nicely last night, with pings in the 150-300
range. This morning it is dead. As in, it doesn't work at all! We had a
nasty lightning storm move through last night, must have zapped something.
DSL at work is ok, so hopefully my home one will be back on-line when I get
done working today.

If my home DSL comes back up, and I have no reason to think it won't, I
should be on for a while. Maybe we can get Misfit into nightmare with us,
and pull his necromancer and Kasmir's pally through into act four with us.

I knew he was in the game with us for a short time, but we were moving
pretty fast, and I didn't stop to visit. I just assumed that he would join
us, and next thing I knew, he was gone.

Boy, do I feel stupid!?! I never even thought to ask him if he wanted a
chant. I was so intent on keeping up with Bongo (the extra life from his O/S
is very welcome), and staying alive, that the thought never even occurred to
me. Yup, the chanter was in the game, standing near the gate in act two
(Act one town had the bridge). I found that if we just barely stepped
outside, the chanter never needed to leave town, which makes me feel a LOT
safer in nightmare.

I should be on tonight, not sure about Saturday. I'm still scheduled to be
out of town, although that is subject to change right up until Saturday

I ran into Kasmir Wednesday night. I popped into the NM game to check my
Wolf out and he was there with his L38 pally. I told him he was a little
light for NM (especially considering his experience level). He said he was
just trying to level a bit. I was watching Lost, so I didn't really play,
but I tried to follow him around with my OS, and help out during
commercials. He seemed to be struggling, and I again suggested he go back to
Normal for a bit. He came into our NM game again last night and his Pally
was up to 40. Still a little light for him being in NM, IMO.

Kasmir is a nice guy, but it seems to me that he puts the blinders on when
he plays. Nothing or no one else exists outside of his vision. We'd have
gladly thrown an enchant on him if he'd have mentioned it. But better would
have been if he'd stuck to the Normal minion runs with you and Misfit. He
certainly would have gotten more levels with a lot more safety. Maybe try
stressing to him that B-net is multiplayer, and things will work much better
for him, and be much easier if he concentrates on working with the other
players.
