Hi, I have a question and I want a very fast answer

there is two monitors

" Asus VN248H IPS 24 "
" Asus VX238H LED 23 "

the ips one has 5ms and the TN has 1ms and I'm afraid if I choose the Ips I would suffer of tearing and ghosting

so which one to choose ?

Tearing is GPU related. When the GPU sends a new frame to the monitor in the middle of the refresh cycle. V-sync will eliminate this, but can be bad if your GPU can't maintain a matching number of frames to the monitors refresh rate.

Ghosting is related to the response time and backlight of the monitor. Basically when the scene being displayed changes too quickly for the monitor to cope. 5ms is pretty good for an IPS display. 1ms on a TN is basically as good as it gets, but you lose some color accuracy in going from IPS to TN.

Depends on what you plan to use the monitor for. If it is purely for games, and more FPS then other types, get the TN. If you play a lot of MMOs the IPS is fine. If you do any type of graphics related work, the IPS display will provide more accurate color results.

so If I go with the IPS and I 'll be playing some fps

how much difference will be the IPS and the TN ? 20% - 40% ??
