Theoretically how would this fair?
Submerged entire PC in mineral oil (sealed unused ports beforehand),
1)Pumping mineral oil trough TEC/s or insert tec operated passive cooler, to cool or freeze the whole tank (down to 0?), I know mineral oil would become stiffer, i don't know to what extent, freazing point -30 or so, but at 10-0 it would move slow to carry heat off of the PC components, and i don't know if anyone tried. When the tank is cool cpu and gpu (northbridge perhaps) can then be further freezed with tec's directly on them (those tecs water-cooled from outside or passively cooled by cold oil).
oil-cooling tec/s Water-cooled from outside.
2)a)rig a small freezer/ice machine or such to cool oil (could do myself) and combine or not with Tecs on cpu/gpu, or b)rig it directly to cpu-gpu (cant do myself)
max insulation on tank with expanding foam.or such leaving perhaps only a small window (for the looks), top insulated with only hoses and cables sticking out, and i am talking about the custom built smallest possible tank for mobo/gpu/(psu?)
Small freezer instead of aquarium maybe?
This could go way below ambient with no condensation problems, number 2. b) would be extremely tricky to craft (high pressure "waterblocks" and pipes) but if someone is into air-conditioning, or refrigerators possible.
How low/silent/ "efficient" could it go? Would PC break down? Would cold oil lose thermal properties so much it couldn't take heat from pc, and what is the lowest efficient oil temp?
tempted to try on an old machine for fun to test it out.
