Hey all,

I posted last week about my Donkey Kong cabaret that had no sound. I figured
out it was a problem with the connector at the power supply. I ended up
taking the power supply apart enough to where I could resolder the pins on
all 3 connectors. I still have issues however. The game has frozen on me at
least once, it has suddenly gone to a white screen and then rebooted, sounds
will randomly start playing and then one sound will loop over and over, and
I've also had garbage on the screen (the worst of this garbage covered the
whole screen in a series of color bars). I was wondering if anyone could say
if it's more likely the board or power supply. Thanks in advance for any
help.

Sounds like issues I had with my power supply before it died.

I recommend buying an original replacement from Todd at TNT Amusements
- switchers are not 100% reliable on DK, I have found.

His price is great and he ships fast.

Also if by any chance you need boards I do have a working set for a cbaeret.
Mine is the 4 board set.

Thanks for both replies. I have a buddy that may be able to hook me up with
a power supply so I'll try that first. I may end up emailing you about the
board set if I get no results from a different power supply.
