Tech help a newbie

one of my 120mm fans have not worked for along time so today i decided to get it out the case until my new ones arrive. I cut the wires off so i could trace it to where it went and im not very computer tech but it leads into a cable and on the bottom there are bigger cables sticking out? this was done by a computer shop i have tried to pull it out but it wont work here are some pictures:

Those are a bunch of connectors all stacked together in a daisy chain. Unless he glued them together you should be able to seperate out the fan connector and put the reaining 2 stacks back together as one. Why he/she would do this is beyond me, I've never seen this.
