Hi Community,

I have purchased

Motherboard - Gigabyte X470 Aorus ultra gaming Board
Processor - Ryzen 2700x
I went to store for a 16gb RAM and they gavem me 3000 Mhz Ram 16gb Corsair
Now the RAM is working on 2133 MHZ and I tried to change XMP profile and it wont boot and after some time return to 2133 MHZ
further I tried in the Gigabyte's EASY TUNE software and tried to change the frequency to 2933 MHZ and other also, but it wont boot and stuck on Aorus Logo and I have to change the setting back to 2133 MHZ

Please guide

Ryzen can be difficult to run higher speed ram depending on memory ICs and bios revision. Have you updated to the latest?

Try set ram manually and not use xmp. Xmp can cause problems with particular ram.

Adjust memory multiplier and timings manually and set dram voltage to 1.35v. The timings for your memory is the 4 sets of numbers listed on the packaging or on memory itself starting with CL as an example with this picture it says CL 14 14 14 36.

Find out your timings and when you enter it in the bios start from left to right when you enter down the page in the video below.

Apologise how quick he goes but is only video i can find showing what hes changing on a Gigabyte board.
Watch from from 12:50

Next video showing where ProcODT and Command rate settings are from 9:00.

ProcODT try values from 40 to 80ohms
Command rate try 1 and 2.

Recap

*Xmp disabled
*Memory multiplier to set frequency of 3000
*Set timings
*Dram voltage 1.35
*ProcODT 40 or 60ohms
*Command rate 2

See how you go, if still not working, return memory for a set of 2x 8 CL14 Gskill ram with Samsung ICs then try setting Xmp. These Corsairs have Hynix ICs which Ryzen isn't very compatible with at frequencies higher than standard.
