Technical question about this specific motherboard and case.

I am building a PC for my mom. I'm using this Mini-ITX Board with this SFF Case

My question is the wires that come from the case for the front USB panel does not fit the input on the motherboard. The wire coming from the case is too small. Is there some sort of adapter that works for this?

What do you mean it's "too small"? Does it not reach the USB3.0 pin-out on the motherboard or does it not physically fit on the pin-out on the motherboard?

yeah it doesn't fit, the part in my hand does not fit into the port on the motherboard.

That part in your hand is a 20 pin Female USB3.0 cable, right? If so, it's supposed to fit without issue. Otherwise and appropriate adapter would have come with either the case or the motherboard.

The cable is a usb3 connector for the usb3 ports on the front of your case, your motherboard only has usb ports on the back I/o panel and doesn't have a front panel usb header only 2x usb 2.0 headers,

is there any adapter I can get for it to get the usb ports in the front to work?

Unless the PCI-Ex16 slot is available, no. Your motherboard has no place to support front USB3.0 ports. Sorry. I should have noticed that myself from the get go.

Edit: That adapter allows you to use the front USB3.0 ports as USB 2.0.
