Tecra 8000 harddrive transplant?

hello im hoping to replace my harddrive thats faulty and now my tecra dosent go i have found a replacment new the same is this easy to just open the lap top and plug the new one in ? and then what drivers or such would i require if any? thanks for reading this.

Just check first if your laptop uses a standard 2.5" HDD. Also try to find out if the BIOS will work with your replacement hard disk.
