Yeah, thanks, cklaubur. I knew that, just my memory was fuzzed. The error message I was getting was: "This computer is not supported" and just assumed the 64/32 bit problem. Dumb I know but I've been up all night trying to fix this. Tried booting from Hirens BootCD but now get a different message:"x86 Systems not supported" (may be not exact wording but near enough). I am trying to update the BIOS on my Toshiba Tecra M5 (PTM51E) to latest in the hope that it comes with SLIC 2.1 (I have read that it does. I sincerely doubt it but I really need to know). I will now reboot with Win7 x64 Install CD and hope to update BIOS from command prompt there. Will this command prompt be in 64 bit mode? Wish me luck. I will report back with result.
