I have a question about a certain network, at maybe a certain building, which may or may not be a school,

and this "place" has a certain PA system which may or may not be used by a certain Boss who may or may not be a principle

Anyways my question is, is that if someone were to want to use the intercom, how could they use it without going into that office and using that telephone

Theres an it room and a server rack i found in separate rooms

we also found a way to get a teacher lvl administrator
they can change the files and surf the internet without restriction, but it always times out when we type in 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1. I'm just trying to get off a good senior prank with some Great Balls of Fire, and the chicken dance song without getting caught

I'm pretty savvy with tech but i suck at networking.

Can someone hook me up? Ill make sure to record it so you can see the fruits of our labour haha

depends on the system.

school i taught at could access the intercom system from any phone in the building. every classroom had a phone and if oyu knew the right code to punch in you could get on the air.

with that said. i'm sure you think this is harmless senior prank but from my experience no one has a sense of humor anymore. administration will not be happy at all and there will likely be trouble you don't wish to deal with. i saw it many times over my years teaching. i normally found the harmless pranks silly and well thought out, yet the admin ALWAYS went overboard and started barring students from graduation and/or prom if it was still in the future.

weigh it out carefully and decide if the potential for it to be taken the wrong way is worth the risk.

First, I would go read up on the law, now a day any hacking could land you in jail.

While we realize this is likely just a prank, it does toe the line on actual hacking which, of course, is not tolerated on Tom's Hardware. Clearly, you do not have permission or authorization to be attempting this, so we're going to have to shut it down.
