telephone outlet problem

i have an internet connection from telephone outlet to the router and the network keeps cutting off then connecting agian its annoying so i called my isp and he said that its a problem with the telephone outlet wires so i asked him if i have another telephone outlet in the house will that solve the problem and he didnt know if it will change or not
-not only the internet keeps cutting and comming back but i only getting half of my speed that i paid for .......the isp said it was the same problem (the telephone outlet)
-so if i simply wired the router to another outlet will the problem be solved or not?

You should run a temporary wire from the point on the outside of the building where the phone connection starts directly to your modem. Use a cat5 cable and wire it for an RJ11. See this page for color coding -- http://www.westernet.net/Help/RJ45.htm

Unknown. But the best way to determine IF the internal wiring is a problem, is to bypass it. That is all I am recommending.
