Hope someone can help me, i have recently updated my Bios from F7 to F11 in two stages.

I have my E6600 OC to 333 mhz 3ghz with Artic Cooler 7 heat sink.

I was getting temps of around 41oC idle but since the upgrade of bios i am getting 48-50oC.

I have changed my paste but still no improvement.

Are there any problems with the bios ?
Or am i misssing something ?

The reason Im asking is because Ive been getting some blue screen erorrs (I havent put in any new hardware since February) and the system seems unstable and acting screwy at times. What's the easiest way to update my BIOS on the DS3?

well, a bios update doesnt increase the temps. However, it does make the algorithm for calculating the cpu temp more accurate. So the temp jump may be because the system is better estimating your cpu temp. For a much more consistent temp, try using intel TAT (for core 2 cpus) or coretemp (for either core 2 or athlon x2)

Fastest way to update bios? go to website (www.gigabyte.com.tw). go to downloads, select bios, find board model. download newest listed. Copy thats inside the downloaded file to a floppy disk. (should be a .bin file) Start PC, press Del to enter bios, press f8 to run qflash utility. Follow on screen instructions.

yes, it does increase the temp with the ds3...I have the same board and same thing happened to me, so I reverted back to f10 and temps were normal again.
