i have a gigabyte ga-ma790gp-ud4h ultra durable 3 motherboard paired with a phenom II 940 proccy

my temps are way off the mark. i use coretemp to see the cpu temp and everest to see the motherboard temp

1. motherboard temp before bios update showed 39-42c after bios update shows 52-56c

2. cpu temp is a constant 55c idle and goes to 59c under 100% load

my ambient is around 34c

so are these temps normal??? will a aftermarket cpu cooler reduce cpu temps??

and i have a cm690 case and i am running the default fans which come along with the case i.e - 1gpu side intake. 1front intake and 1 rear exhaust.

Your temps are fine... 34c ambient is HOT.

As long as you are under like 65'ish

i bought two 120mm fans for the case and installed on the top for exhaust and removed the gpu intake and put it for the cpu intake and now temps are around 47c idle and 51c on load so i guess an aftermarket cooler should reduce temps a bit more right???
