How did THG Get the bios on their P4c800-E Delux mobo (5GHZ Project) read Negitive temperatures?
I recently built a phase change cooler for my computer and am curius of the cpu temperature. I have a Fluke 50 series Thermometer but it can only get so close to the Processor.

I'd imagine the motherboard did this for them. I can't see them modifing the BIOS to do this. You won't be able to get your thermometer close enough to accurately measure the temps of the CPU, so you will have to rely on the built in temperature sensor.

You built a phase change cooler? Awesome! Got any pictures, I'd like to see this setup.

ya i got lots of pics through out the building process.
im getting temperature readings of -47.6 but i burned out my P4c800-E delux when i decided to drip solder on the motherboard 😛. ill have the pics in a lil bit.

If only I had such problems! Yeah I'd love to see pictures of it, Do you have access to a machine shop or something?

nope i just ripped out the cooling unit from an old freezer and hardwired the compressor to run 24/7, it keeps the 100%Antifreeze in my watercooling system at -50*F +/-5* i just ran the evaporator into a cooler full of Antifreeze and insulated all the lines with 3 layers of pipe insulation (it still gets some condensation on the outside of the insulation) it only cost me arround $60 USD to build the system (insulation and Antifreeze 10 Galons!!!). i have pictures of all the steps on both systems i built. im going to refine my system once i have time away from school this weekend.
