Temperature CPU on COD BO 1

is it normal for a cpu to go this high

i have a i5 cpu


a wyll back
core>3 167oF) (core> 1&2&4 162oF)

it went up to this today
core>3 180oF) (core> 1&2&4 in the 170s oF)

plese help

What model i5, is it overclocked? 180F=82C which is quite high (especially if during gaming). Steps I would take here.
1) Blow all dust out of computer making sure to clean all fan areas good and the heatsink itself. If cleaning doesn't fix it
2) Reseat heatsink and apply fresh thermal compound. If reseating HSF doesn't fix it,
3) lower clocks - or even take CPU back to stock speed

You can ignore step three then. I would think that between steps one and two, you will solve the heating issue.
A consideration I had not mentioned is that it's important to have adequate room around the PC for airflow which will help with cooling. Adding a case fan (or two) may also prove to be somewhat helpful

COD BO 1 >MP<

I have a i5 2320 i run it at 3.0 ghz, GTX 550 Ti, 4gb of ddr3 1333mhz ram and i do not overclock it
is it normal for a cpu Temperature to go this high when the game loads up a map and all the cores load 100%

COD BO 1 MP i play it on all high g 1920X1080

i like to use oF

it went up to this today
core>3 181oF or 82OC) (core> 1&2&4 in the 170s oF) 210oF is the max or in oC 99oC

even when it is the lowest G 800x600 and in window mode it still does it that high but little bit lower in Temperature like in the 170oF

thank you for this info i am handi cap so i cannnot do all that but i know a lot about computers so im going to take it in and see what they think about it.
