Temperature error i7 7700k

Hi , i just install a new pc with i7 7700k and asus maximus viii ranger and when i turn the pc on it shows temperature error , then i go to bios and see my processor is at 90 degree , after that i tried to turn my pc off then i cant turn on anymore
And also i dont have new thermal paste so i used what left on the cpu fan (not much) , is that the problem for the overheat ? And how can i turn on the pc now. . Ty

You will need to get more paste , like MX4 clean off both the CPU and heatsink , then reinstall. Must not have been installed correctly.

Hopefully no damage to the CPU.
