Temperature problems on Q6600 with a Noctua

Hi guys,
I'm having some trouble on getting relatively low temperatures with a Noctua NH12F on a Q6600.

Coretemp throws the following temperatures at idle:
Core 0: 47ºC
Core 1: 46ºC
Core 2: 45ºC
Core 3: 47ºC

And the following ones at maximum load with 4 threads of Prime95 doing the maximum power consumption test:
Core 0: 72ºC
Core 1: 71ºC
Core 2: 70ºC
Core 3: 67ºC

I think they're way too high. Room temp is 22-23C.
The Q6600 is running at 2.93Ghz (FSB 325Mhzx9), and the voltage supplied to it after Vdrop as CPU-Z states is: 1.216V.
The Noctua is oriented towards the PSU.

Ah, the Motherboard is an ASUS Commando.

Have you tried reseating or making sure you applied the thermal compound properly? Too much compound can cause gaps in contact and cause high temps.

Also what program are you using to check temps? I would suggest CoreTemp for Q6600's, RealTemp is also good.

I use CoreTemp to check temps.
I'll try to reseat the CPU. I think the problem is that I didn't apply the thermal compound properly... I extended it instead of just dropping a line across the IHS in the right direction (that is, covering the two dies of which Q6600's are made of).
