Temperature.

I need some help. I just recently built a new PC and I'm wanting to know a safe temperature range for it. I tried googling it but I couldn't really find anything so I thought I'd just ask around in here.

Temperatures right now while idle:
CPU - 47c
System - 48c
nForce - 58c
GPU - 64c

I got this information from the nvidia monitorview.

Without system specs it like asking a blind man what color your car is.

Oh really? I didn't know that mattered.

I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.0ghz cpu, EVGA GeForce 8800 gts 640mb gpu, and an EVGA nforce 590 sli mobo (model 122-M2-NF59-TR). Not sure if you need my other specs but I also have two 1 gig crucial ballistix sticks of memory, a cooler master centurion case, an antec true power trio 650w psu, a Western Digital sata2 250g hdd, and a sony dvd rom.

You can see my specs below. I run at about 47C on my CPU and in my case. And I have it OCed to 2.5GHz. It's probably around 35C at stock speed.

Ya, each component has its own opertating range. As long as you keep them in the range and / or as cool as possible you should be good.

Your at 47 do your good on the CPU.
