My temps in Rainbow six siege on ultra with render 100 get pretty hot when actually gaming, and they seem to perform the same with both 5.0 and 4.9 ghz, with roughly the same temps and fps. When gaming in siege, it takes a minute or two for it to start just constantly going from 80-85. Can go as high as 88 but quickly spikes down usually to 80-85. Is this bad? If so what should I do with the oc to get the best performance with both fps and temps?

Unless you are striving for that last elusive frame per second, for instance trying for 100 fps at 1440P with a 2080 or 2080Ti, most games when GPU-limited might only see a 1-2 fps increase even with an extra 200-300 MHz CPU clock speed...

If you motherboard is running all cores at 4.9 GHz (MCE-mode equivalent), I'd expect in the 80C range...; if going 100 MHz less clock speed also lets you lower core voltage a tad, you might be able to shave off 5C but only lose 1 FPS...

80-85C is not 'dangerous', it's just higher than I personally prefer...

I changed my clock to 4.8 GHz and voltage to 1.26 and things are running perfectly fine now, temps are way better around 69-72 with 75 or 77 at max for a split second before it goes back down and for the fps i did a benchmark which in 3 areas got 5-15 more fps, and the mins and max being way better, one area was 5 less fps and one more area was 20 less fps than 5ghz 1.35 voltage which didnt matter because it is about 330 fps which is way more than I need in that area, since I have 240hz. So I think these settings are perfect! Your thoughts?
