System Specs

E8400
Asus P5Q Pro

XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 (cpu fan)

I increased the FSB from 333 stock to 400. That brought me to 3.6 ghz running stable. The vcore was at 1.3 which seemed a little high when I compared it to other peoples posts. I lowered the vcore to 1.25 and it ran stable (prime95). My temps are (according to speedfan)

(Celsius)

Idle
CPU: 32
Core 0: 40
Core 1: 39

(Game) Load
CPU 38
Core 0: 50
Core 1: 51

When I ran Prime 95 speedfan was reporting temps of CPU 70, Core 1: 80, Core 2: 81, Is that a speedfan error they seemed crazy high but it ran stable?

Are my other temps okay?

I got the same overclock with stock cooler and obviously 80 81 is too high but your temps should be OK. I idle the same and load a little higher and my system's stable but that's just me. You should be fine though

80c for any core2duo is very dangerous, id sujest re-seating the hs and makeing sure that you put a line of thermal paste on each heatpipe. that should lower ure temps down to about 50c load with a good fan.

100% agree I have my E8500@ 3.9ghz with a smaller S964 92mm 4 heat pipe cooler and my temps are between 37c-63c 100% intelburntest which is the best stability test I have found for Intel 45nm C2D's check it out here

Yep, Real Temp.

Or set your offsets for core 0 and core 1 within speedfan to -10, it turns out to be identical to what real temp reads.

Wow, IntelBurnTest IS hard on the system. :)
I likey. haha

New max found, 68 C, ouch. Orthos only hit 60 after an hour.

4ghz E8400, 1.344v (CPUZ loaded reading)

Can you set a default config so you can simply dlb click and run with out setting the options?
