tempurature of gpu

hey guys so today i thought of downloading gpu/z and saw the temps idle temp was 36-40 and i played about an hour of ac rogue then i saw temps it was about 56-68 but then i played aragami more graphic intensive and tempurature for once got to 84 then came to 75-78 max temp was 84 is it normal?

Yes GPU can run at 80 on max load no problem. Start to be concerned at 90 degree!
It will throttle aver 100 and shut down / crash over 110.

The idle temps and the temps in AC are perfectly normal, but the temps in Aragami seem a bit high, though nothing really to worry about; it could just be the age of the video card or that the game is almost completely GPU bound.

My RX 480 reaches some higher than usual temps in games like The Forest, 7 Days etc... They're just GPU bound indie games and put extra stress than usual on the GPU.

If you know how to, you could remove the old thermal paste from the GPU and give the fans and heatsink a good clean, apply new paste and put it all back together.
