——. Question 1—————-
Planning to run CAT6 “solid” cables in a manufacturing plant . Lengths are varies ( 100FT -200FT) .
At the beginning these are temporary connections.
One end of the cables are connect to Cisco core switch and other end’s connected to Netgear unmanaged switches that assigns to different production lines .
What is the best way to terminate each side ?
—————Question 2 ———-
Later will use patch panel near to core Cisco switch and use small patch cable to connect to Cisco switch.
Then one end of long run solid cat 6 cable will terminate at patch panel and other side still will connect to Netgear 8 port switch. Then at the Netgear switch side shout we crimp or use field termination plug .
Much appreciate expert advice. Please and thank you

- Is it a good idea to use pre-made lengthy cables 200FT
- Or use 100FT pre-made cables use an inline coupler and connect to another 100FT cable.
- Use field termination plug each side of cable
- Or use bulk cable and crimp both side using RJ45 ( 8P8C) connectors
