Terrible 4770k chip

Have to run the voltage up to 1.3V+ to achive a 4.4 core speed. The temps are in the high 70's and can go into mid 80's at times during a P95 test.

What should I do?

What cooler and motherboard are you using?

Which cpu cooler are you using? If stock cooler is being used, pl buy aftermarket cpu coolers like

Noctua NH-14D/NH-15D/NH-U14S
Cooler Master V8 GTs/212 Evo
Corsair H100i

Also make sure that you've correctly applied the thermal paste/compound.

How are you recording temps? Use HWMonitor or similar software to record the temps

I went from using a noctua u14s push pull, and upgraded to a corsair 450d case with an h100i. I was able to achieve 4.4 this way. Before it was worse.

Dear under prime test if CPU is reaching 70ish+, you should not be worried.
