Terrible fps with new 9600GT

hey, i just installed a new ASUS 9600gt card and my fps have dropped off the chart. The game i play is IL2 Sturmovik, my old card (An ATI Radeon X300 128mb) ran the game at 40-60 fps but the new Nvidea cant break 20 fps!

If anyone could help me solve this problem it would be much appreciated

Try uninstalling the card, or at least it's drivers, download a program called driver sweeper, boot to safe mode, run that to clear out traces of any old video drivers, then reinstall the latest nvidia drivers.

what is your build, operating system, and have you tried other games-what about them?

I think Ohio is right though--probably a driver issue because you switched from ATI to Nvidia.

99.9% chance that you have leftover ATI/CCC files on your drive. Uninstall those files with driver sweeper just like ohio suggested...

make sure the pcie 6pin cable is pluged in properly to or it runs the card in low power mode.
