Terrible Frame Drops Every 2-3 Seconds In Most Games

Hi there, I've had this problem in the past, but it resolved itself, but now it's back. As the title says, I'm having terrible frame drops every 1-2 seconds in game. I'm talking 50 FPS to 10 FPS, then, 2 seconds later, it goes back to normal. The cycle continues and continues, and makes most games unplayable. Please help!

Specs:
GTX 765M
Intel Core i7 4770MQ
16 GB RAM
Playing 1680 x 1050

Did you check your cpu and gpu temperatures?
