terrible performance on a good pc

getting terrible performance 20-40 in all games no matter what settings i use after a recent reimage due to a virus, games sometimes crash or drop to an unplayable fps (5-10), also it wont let me run defrag. just a side not, i was getting upwards of 100fps on ultra in bf4 (according to the ingame counter) without an overclock.

ill let my AV check for viruses and run ccleaner then get back to you, also i just got the pc back like 2 days ago so i dont have a restore point.

ran malwarebytes and ccleaner, plus i had a look at msi afterburner and nothing seems too out of the ordinary

it says bf4 is using 99% of my gpu which seems odd to me

That's normal. If the CPU says 100% then it's a problem.

just had a peak at the mb drivers and they dont have my exact model, the closest they have is http://www.gigabyte.com.au/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4893&dl=1&RWD=0#ov and mine is a Z87-D3HP im assuming its not a good idea to use that driver on my mb tho
