[SOLVED] Terrible WiFi connection despite new PciE adapter - HELP!

My PC has really bad WiFi connection. When I bought it I put in a WiFi PCIE adapter and the connection was okay but overtime it's got much worse. I recently bought a new PCIE adapter and it hasn't resolved the problem.

I know it's not a problem with my WiFi as my laptop and phone get a much stronger connection from the same place as my computer. I've even connected my computer to the internet on my phone (full 4G) and it still has a bad connection.

I've tried resetting the network, cleaning the computer of dust, and disconnecting other adapters.

I can't set up an ethernet connection as my router is downstairs on the other side of my house

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks a lot!

Solution
Here are a couple things to try:
  1. Move the antenna to a location that is more in open space so as to avoid any possible RF interference.
  2. Try putting your wifi PCIe adapter in a different PCIe slot.
