I like the way it looks. Really nice, and I love where they applied the glow effect. However, I'd have to put my hand on it to really judge it. I have the Saitek R.A.T 5 mouse, and I've been happy with it for years.

I like the design. I like that the right mouse button is its own piece of plastic.

I wouldn't buy a mouse that has set DPI levels like this though. I need more granularity than the provided 800, 1800, 4000, 6400, and 8200. I often run around the 400 or 450 mark when playing shooters for the sake of precision.

"I doesn't seem a good alternative to the G500 from Logitech." The G500 is a piece of crap stupid faulty sensors plus apparently it has fault buttons as well. Worst mouse I've ever purchased won't be getting another Logitech mouse I'll get a Microsoft/Razor instead.

"...four adjustable weights (3x 10 gram and a single 5 gram pellet)"

why not use just 3 weights (5, 10 and 20 grams), it will achieve the same thing.

Engineers must have overlooked that one, eh?

You must have gotten a faulty G500. Mine's pretty solid. I haven't had problems with faulty sensors. The only thing I don't like about it is the sensitivity of the right mouse button. All right button takes is a feather touch. If you shiver from the cold, it triggers. If you sneeze in the direction of the mouse, it triggers. It is annoying.

Pffft. I'll stick with my Logitech. I forget the model number but it's gray, it's awesome, it's survived being launched across my living room numerous times due to brain dead pubbies making me angry, and I bought it at Wal-Mart. It's a keeper.
