Test for blown system

Is there any quick or easy way to test my system to see if the Mother board or the cpu is blown. I have swapped out the power supply so am pretty sure that is not the problem. Wonder how to test the other two for reason why system is DOA.

Check the caps on the mobo for bulging and/or leaks and take the CPU out turn upside down and check for browning, other than that it's a case of swapping bits until the problem goes away.
