Hi,

My PSU has burnt and I think that the motherboard is affected too.
I bought a new PSU and tested it with this guide. It works OK according to step 7 (I didn't test further).

Now I try to turn on the computer with the new PSU but it is not working at all. Simply nothing happens - no beep sounds, no fan is working (not even the PSU's fan).

I wanted to check the motherboard if it is faulty, how to do this?
I have a DMM/multimeter.

Motherboard's model is Asus P7H55-M PRO.

I appreciate your help!

Hey,

Thank you. I've tried what is written in the guide but it didn't help, e.g.:

    ■ Made sure that all the power & fan connectors are connected, including: 4-pin-EATX12V, 24-pin-EATXPWR, 4-pin-CPU_FAN, 4-pin-CHA_FAN1, 3-pin-PWR_FAN.
    ■ Tried either with a single RAM card or without it (graphic card and HDDs weren't installed during the tryouts)
    ■ Cleared the RTC RAM with the jumper.
    ■ Removed the CMOS battery for over than a minute and returned it.
    ■ Verified with a multimeter that the CMOS battery voltage is valid (3.22V).
    ■ short-circuited the PWRSW pins that are in the system panel connector (in case that the chasis power button isn't functional). The voltage between those pins is 3.33V (should be valid I suppose.)

What's weird is that the Standby power LED (green color) turns on when connecting the PC to the power cord.
You can see the LED at the top-left side of the image here, between PCI1 and PCI2 slots.

Hi,

I have exactly the same situation. PC just doesn't start, complete silence with LED on. I tried two different (working) PSUs with no success.
Did you managed to repair your MB?

Thanks.
