Testing mother board and cpu, turns on perfectly for 12 seconds then off.

Cpu and fan plugged into mother board and 1 case fan, and 1 stick of ram, powers on perfectly for about 12 seconds then just shuts off, then immediately starts again. Any thoughts?

Do you have another CPU and motherboard to test.

pull the ram, try again. you are looking for "no memory" beep code.

what else is installed on your system.. video? disk drive? usb headers ? etc. Pull the connectors off, pull the power connectors too.
