Text is pixelated

I am using dell latitude e6430 laptop with resolution 1600x900. i have connected dell IN1930 monitor 1366x768 with laptop for a bit larger screen. (vga connection.)

The issue is my laptop has crystal clear text, but when i connect to monitor text looks pixelated.
I can see individual pixels of text in monitor.

OS: Windows 7
Display drivers are up to date

I even tried to connect to full HD sony tv and text looks pixelated there also.

I would like to know whether this is expected behavior or i can get a different monitor which will have crystal clear text.

have you tried right clicking the desktop with the screen connected and clicking screen resolution and seeing if it is at its max?

yes , its in max 1366x768.

I hv tried adjusting in clear type font wizard also. currently its enabled.

doesnt that laptop have a hdmi port on the back corner you can try
