Hi All, ... Can you share to me for and in the year 2023 what is the best "desktop" software for taking a file and upload and or copy paste to which the software will turn it into audio ... seems there is many out there and yet I have even tried speechify and to my amaze i cant even figure out how to take a simple text to audio as it does not work ... if you know the steps Id like that within that software however how stupid can i be and even in tech ... that I cant figure out how to use that software? thus is there better out there?

Free version of Speechify has it's limitations. Still, i'm sure that even you can Google guides on how to use it (or any other program in linked article in that matter).

I did and nothing to the most simplest thing ... there is no menu for text to audio

We've had to build the software they use around this, and it works.
