For quite a while I have been having random freezes playing minecraft. new drivers, bios all that stuff has plagued me for months and months. Finally entered the right question in Google and found some threads about overheating my AMD chips. IT would idle about 61C and run under load about 86C Using the advice from several threads, I monitored the temp, and finally got new thermal paste and found the heat sink was covered in dust. Pulled it, cleaned the thermal past and reinstalled. Temp is around 41C and maybe gets to 44-45 under load! Thanks to all the folks that take the time to answer with such clean and useful info.
