Hi All,

I just picked up a Thayer's Quest game. Anyone have an idea of the
value? I have tried to find something on this and it is not easy.

I do not know if it works. I am going to look at it in the morning. It
is complete and I saw a few plugs needed to be plugged in.

Looks like it is in great condition, needs a good cleaning.

Thanks for any help on this!

Craig

Hi,

The kit which includes the T Q Marquee, T Q control panel, T Q side art, T Q Laser Disc, and all the major T Q electronic parts (Main Logic Board, Power Supply, LED score Board, and such...) One (a while back) sold on ebay for $300.

A non-working Complete Thayer Quest is worth $800. I have seen local arcades sell them for that. That is usually because they don't know how or where to get the laser disc player fixed. So to them, it is easier to just sell it as "a part or for repair unit." And the arcade owners here about it threw the grape line. If someone has an extra Laser Disc player, they may take them up on the deal. Most of the problems with these games was that the laser Disc players would fail. It was attributed to the owner not doing the maintenance on them. Basically cleaning the laser and doing any necessary adjustment or alignment that needed to be done.

A working complete Thayer Quest machine has sold for $1500 to $2000. BUT the cabinet must be in tip top shape. The control panel must look like it hasn't been used very much. The marquee must look new. And so on.....

I would go to www.d-l-p.com and there you can get all the help to get the came running again.

See Ya,
Rich

Most of the thayer Quest Cabinets were converted back to either Dragon's Lair or Space Ace. Those 2 games are more commonly known and played. And more people are willing to purchase one of those first. Just like: Interstellar,Road Blaster,Super Don Quix-ote,Us vs Them, GP World,Esh's Aurunmilla,Cobra Command,Cliff Hanger,Bega's Battle, Badlands, and there are others.
