Man it is the best thing that happend to my r9 290
i played bf3 for like 2 hours
fan speed on 80% i dont even hear it!
and it didnt passed the 65c!!
everybody that has the reference r9 290 should buy it

They are a good idea for early r9 290's with reference coolers on them. But most custom coolers are a lot better and don't really need to be swapped out.

Did you do anything extra with the VRM's? I also bought the Gelid ICY Vision "VRM Cooling Enhancement Kit" - I hope it makes for a nice combo.

my vram temp are fine
i think if you dont install it right it doesnt do the vram

but i putted thermal pad on this part

they dont tell you to do that but i saw on the ref cooler that they did so...
i suggest you put some too
i didnt have enough themal pad to put so i took from the ref some thermal pads -does the job

one last thing
you need put the thermal pad on the back side
not on the front
took me a long time to figure it out ...
