so I bought the AOC i2267Fw IPS 5ms(GTG) monitor.

I am happy with it, nothing wrong with it out of the box, but somehow It's giving me a headache looking at it, it only has a VGA and DVI inputs, and I don't have my build yet(i'll finish it in friday), so I am only connecting it through VGA with my laptop. there's a sliiiight glare or blur with text. will that go away when I get the DVI cable with my build on friday and connect it through that?

also DCR hurts my head when it's on, even tho it makes the picture better looking than with DCR off.

I have this problem with all different monitors idk why, except for laptop monitors I've never had them hurt my eyes or got me a headache. I had a samsung PLS 5ms 24 inch one before, and had the same problem.

what's the best setting for it to not hurt my eyes, and how different will the quality be when I change from my VGA cable through the laptop, to the DVI one on my new GTX 970 when I finish the build on friday? thanks

I am getting one, it's just that I am finishing my build on friday, so I still don't have a anything other than my laptop to plug into, but i am getting a dvi cable on friday with the rest of the build. my question was rather that will this little blur go away with the dvi? although I did reduce the brightness and contrast and now it's less straining, but still...

you see, even tho I tried several combinations of lower contract and brightness, they make it much easier on my eyes but only for a small time, and then I find myself in a headache again, although, now, I think I got it to the best setting for my eyes. I changed the color to normal instead of warm, it was set to warm by default, now it's easier on my eyes :) i do hope the dvi cable still make another difference tho 😛 can't wait till friday 😛

good luck, report back

thanks very much, I will :)
