Hi there,

I used Chrome to download a .exe installer (duet display's .exe installer from their website) to custom downloads folder that I always use, which is on a Sumsung nvme SSD 2T. and when double clicking it says "This Archive is Corrupted". I repeat this for 5 times and everytime its the same.

So I changed Chrome's download path to a newly created folder on the same drive, and everything worked well.

I then changed the download path back to the previous folder, and the installer worked as well.

All other downloads to the 1st folder worked well, zips unzipped without any problem.

What does this means? My folder is corrupted?

Solution
Sometimes downloads can get corrupted during transfer from source, until eventually you get a clean download by persevering. I suspect that's what happened here. I've had it happen it me on (very) rare occasions.
