News The Asus RX 9070 XT TUF Gaming has allegedly been unboxed, suggesting ready stock at retailers

Anything over $500 will be a failure.
Really needs to be $450 or less to be "good"
This is a GPU that matches a $1000 RTX 4080, would you care to explain how is it going to be a failure? People are clearly unrealistic in what they expect. This is a GPU at the same level of the RTX 5070 Ti with finally DLSS level of quality FSR, AMD has no real reason to ask less than $700 for it other than customer expectations. If it is prices anywhere less than $700 it's already going to be a good thing, at $500 it would be a steal and best card to show up in last 3 gens. Imagine what will happen to the price of used 7900 lineup if this one hits at $500, and even more to the 7800 XT

What is AMDs current market share?
How has AMDs strategy of pricing their cards close to, or just a hair cheaper than, Nvidia counterparts worked out for them?

For AMD to be successful they need disruptive pricing.

AMD's ambitions for this generation are to increase market share so expect the RX 9070 XT to cost in the $500 territory.

I've seen $599.99 for a 9070 XT price, so it'd be more fair to say $600 territory since we know the different OEM editions of the card will have price premiums that bring it well above $600 as is typical.

Wow, please show me the link to the reviews. Oh wait what, this is all fanatsy that you hope is true, not fact at this stage.

If 9070XT does indeed hit these levels of performance in raster and RT, has much stronger AI chops than RDNA3 I'll be first in line even at $550. But they other guy is right, AMD cannot compete at anywhere near the same price point. Nvidiots wouldn't care less if 9070XT matches 4080 for $600, they won't buy it because they can get 5070 for less, even if its worse. Because they'll then claim AMD drivers sucks, or FSR4 is inferior to DLSS4 or doesn't have neural rendering or mulit-frame etc etc. There'll always be an excuse not to buy AMD as they are seen as inferior. So AMD can only sell at a much lower price like it or not.

Don't call the Nvidia fanboys of Nvdiot's The chance of pairing a nvidia Hardware with a mediatek cpu in few months It's way higher than get a AMD product and see the steam moving to ARM :)

x86 right now almost dead if intel can't push anymore...

in age of empires 2 AMD will only get the taunt number 8

Steam at ARM can brace ANDROID Users / MAC users / (future) Nvidia users...
