I just bought my new system. T-bird 900, Asus A7V, Elsa Gladiac 32 MB, 384 RAM, 60 GB Maxtor, Aopen Hx45A case. Eventually I know I will want to overclock this mother so I figured I should go ahead and get the fan now. Noise is no problem, I used to run a 9.1 10K SCSI drive. I just want good fit and great performance. What is best?

best fan (in my humble opinion :) )
would be the Global win FOP38 (with the delta fan)
but it is LOUD...heh , i don't care either... :)
great for overclocking... but in a recent test i saw, the hedgehog beat it by a few degrees, but it is way more expensive...

anyway, the review is somewhere on www.anandtech.com, u might want to check it out...

Delta with HEDGEHOG, still the BEST, but they are expensive. cost around $50. a comparable FOB or Alpha will be 2-3C higher and cost $30. you decide.

the Delta is loud, hell loud. I'm use to my G3 no Fan=no Noise. =)

I was checking out 3Dcool.com today. They have some really nice (yet large) fans. Any experience with the super orb? Sounds good for $23. By the way, where can I find fans ya'll are talking about?
Thanks

The best fan in my opinion is a SQUIRREL CAGE FAN! Haha i'm using one of these suckers, lol! Made a duct for the heatsink, hooked 'em up with special tubing from Canadian Tire (Only in Canada, obviously), and LOL it runs at 20 degrees! And it's overclocked! It's a 750 running at 1050! ROFLMAO!

Before I hooked it up, i wanted to see how much air it blew so I took it out in my workshop, hooked it to the bench, turned it on and stood infront of it. Threw off my hat, and my sunglasses and totally wrecked my hair. This beast is the ultimate cooling fan. (of course, i have a full tower to house it)

The Delta 60 fan is generally considered to be the best fan if you can stand the noise. I have a Delta 60/ Hedgehog combo and it works really well, but its not something I would recommend if you consider noise a factor. Its been compared to a hair dryer in your PC.
