Since they're no posts about it people haven't tried EQ2 after the
big patch. Gzzz what a mess SOE!! Why did put something up the so
obliviously bugged?

In case you don't know tradeskill instances are crashing, TS had
problems, my wizard's HO don't work (it refused to cast), cast one
spell and sometimes it makes another regen, hot key bars disappear when
you login, some chars are missing body part and weapons don't show etc
etc. Its like a beta not a finished product. So, why on earth did they
put up such a bugged version? No real need to it. Not like there were
major gaming killing bugs they needed to fix ASAP.

Bet they are also complaining about the problems now.

No excuse. The version they should be testing is the one the end user
will see and built exactly like it would be on their PC not a nice
clean compile on their test servers.

Part of the problem is that not everybody was affected, so it might not
have shown up on Test anyway. Out of the 30+ people online in my guild
last night, only 1 had characters missing body parts, and 1 other had
the hotbar issue. The rest didn't have any problems at all. None of
them complained about HOs not working.

The only problem I had was a tradeskill instance crashed - but there
was a warning about this on the forums and I managed to create two
complete stacks of drinks after spending a bit of time shopping. I
would guess I spent over an hour in the tradeskill zone before it
crashed, and a bunch of people were in there before I was.

Overall, I think all the good things that came with the patch outweight
the bad for those involved. Of course, then there are some people that
aren't ever happy no matter what.

You missed all the people on the boards whining "PAtch nooooow! Patch
noooow!"

Aparently, the bugs aren't in the code per se -- this is the version
running on the test center without these problems -- but in how it was
integrated with the existing codebase.

I've seen that green gremlin a lot as the icon for different items
(Giant's Toe, a few weapons, etc). It was also the icon for reporting
a bug in beta. I assumed it was just a place holder until they got the
appropriate graphics in place.

Your post makes me feel a little better.... I had noticed pretty
severe video problems, bad enough that I assumed they must be unique
to me. But if enough people have trouble with the video, they'll have
to fix it.

I am amazed at how bad it is. It didn't take more then 30 seconds of
being online to see characters with most of their bodies missing.

I have had those glitches for a while, but usually only after extended
play.

The only problem I saw was a pink cube around one of our tanks chest
whenever he drew his weapon. It was some kind of quest axe. The weapon
also showed up as one of those green gremlins if you inspected him. This
happened with two differerent tanks with two different groups.

Only problem I had was with 3 quests resurrecting, but they were
deleted with no problems.
