Hello people today I bought a cat5e cable and when returning at home I found it was a 2 paired. I searched on the internet and I got how to crimp them to the RJ45 Connector, But I got 2 new topics on that thread I.e. the T568A and T568B I understood how the wiring is but I'm confused whats the use or the difference between them, which should I use?? And My ISP provides the Connection (PPPoE) with T568B and if I connect my router to a switch through T568B-T568B and then from switch T568A to T568A device?? Or should I use the T568B for all connections

I hope you put the 2 pair cables in the trash. You always want to use 4 pair cables so you can run gig speeds.

The electrical signals have no idea what color plastic is on the wires. Cable that are used for large patch panel runs have 100 pairs and use completely different color methods to identify the pairs.

It is more everyone does it the same way to avoid confusion. The key is to make sure that the actual wire pairs in the cable match the pins that form the pair for communication. For example you do not take the orange wire and put it on pin 1 and the orange/white wire and put it on pin 8.

Pretty much as long as the wire pairs are correct it does not matter what color the plastic is and you can plug cables with different...

Pretty much as long as the wire pairs are correct it does not matter what color the plastic is and you can plug cables with different color plastic together...the wire underneath is still copper.
